Key Accessibility Considerations:
Paved Pathways: Ensure that locations have paved or smooth pathways that are easy to navigate with wheelchairs or walkers.
Accessible Restrooms: Verify that restrooms are accessible and conveniently located.
Benches and Rest Areas: Look for locations with ample seating and rest areas.
Accessible Parking: Confirm that accessible parking or handicap parking is available and clearly marked.
Level Ground: Choose locations with relatively level ground to minimize strain.
Shade and Shelter: Seek out locations with shade or shelter to provide relief from the sun.

Keep Note:
ALWAYS remember to check the weather forecast before venturing into the outdoors! Sometimes heat can be a hazard, and it is smart to reschedule if the temperature becomes a concern.
ALWAYS remember to pack sunscreen, cold water, sunglasses, nutritious snacks, battery fans, and any other items that will help you with the sun! Your safety and comfort are the top priority!
ALWAYS tell a loved one or two where you are going if venturing off alone! Don’t be afraid to be independent, just make sure others have your location and your itinerary just in case your phone dies or any other emergency occurs!
Remember, outdoor activities are not age restricted. Parks, Beaches, and Concerts can still be accessible and comfortable for seniors with research and planning. Never let your age affect where you go during the spring and summer; step outside today!!
